@mguenther the problem with tutorials is that they become outdated at some point while we intend to keep the docs uptodate. In the end, we'll end up telling people to watch the tutorials but then read the docs after and look for differences. I'm not saying we shouldn't merge this but at some point we should remove this when it becomes outdated.

That is OK with me. So far, I still have the virtual machines downloadable at the indicated web page, which is hosted at the VAST lab server. As soon as this is outdated, we can remove that part again. I just want to advertise it as long as it is still (mostly) valid.
