Drop dependency on Latex

Matplotlib provides its own mini Tex: http://matplotlib.org/users/mathtext.html Can that used be instead of Latex? we get so many questions about this on the mailing list.

Actually, there is no reason to have a TeX interpreter at all. I will remove it.
