Preparing release Bob 6

Hi @bob,

I think we are good to go for a new release. We managed to tackle all the remaining issue from here #257 (comment 37559) (thanks for the help).

This merge request contains the changelog of this new Major release.

Could you please, each of you, check it and see if there is something off? I've done a first pass, but mistakes are possible.
