Documentation of this package sucks.

There are many cases inside this package, where functions or parameters are documented insufficiently. There are already questions asked about this: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/bob-devel/wUCFYfuFQvs

It would be very nice if someone, who knows what the functions are doing (@tiago.pereira) could add some documentation for these.
