Function tips are not displayed at the toolchain editor

Given a certain toolchain editing state, it is only possible to do a certain set of actions. Example: if you select a connection, you can either delete it, shape it or unselect it.

It would be good if we either:

1. Displayed a set of tips of what actions were possible given a certain state
2. Had a manual page explaining key sequences for the different editing actions
